It has come up several times now, so I thought we'd post it here. People want to know if kratom will kick them out of ketosis. The short answer is, it shouldn't. Kratom is a plant and like all plants, it will burn, which is how calories are measured. So the question is, where do those calories come from in kratom? The answer is; fiber. One ounce (28 grams) of kratom contains approximately 27 grams of fiber and while fiber is a type of carbohydrate, it is not one that our body can digest and convert to glycogen, meaning it does not trigger an insulin response and therefore will not kick you out of ketosis.
