Kratom Storage Ideas & More
For those of you who prefer to stock up, how do you store your Kratom? In bottles and bags or jars? Store in the fridge? Freezer? And the biggie: How long is kratom good for in storage? These are questions that many people may have, especially those who are new to Kratom. We are here to helps with some ideas for storage and more.
Many people typically leave their MitraSpec product in the Mylar bags that it comes in. But some people prefer to transfer over to something else. Especially if the vendor is cheap and uses those bags that resemble dollar store balloons or plastic baggies! (ha! You know who you are!!).
For those of you who like to buy in large amounts (larger than 100 grams) is to make smaller ounce bags of strains you like and seal up the rest of the weight so it's not getting exposed to moisture in the air too often. All kratom should be stored in dark cabinets or areas where it is not being exposed to the light often. Some people prefer to use mason jars or similar air tight storage jars that can be labeled properly with a air tight seal.
Storing the Kratom in the freezer is an idea some people have thought of as well. But if the power goes out or the freezer goes into defrost mode you could run into some issues. Your Kratom could be exposed to moisture. Moisture is probably the number one enemy to long shelf life. So maybe if everything was sealed ultra secure, then the freezer might not be off limits and not the best idea.
As long as it is in a cool dark sealed container or sealed Mylar bag you will be able to keep it fresh for some time. There is no right answer with how long it should be kept and it comes down to a matter of preference. As long as moisture is not getting in or too much air.
Knowing your vendor and the quality of the kratom is huge too! Please be mindful of your vendor. Find a vendor who has the product tested and that it is a actual company such as a LLC. To keep Kratom legal we all must support the Kratom companies who are doing things the right way by testing product, able to accept credit cards and package the Kratom professionally in sealed bags (not plastic baggies).
